The Great Lakes Centennial Jamboree is intended to be a “once in a lifetime” event with the goals of celebrating 100 years of Scouting in America and providing our scouts with an opportunity on par with the 2010 National Jamboree.
Who: Open to all registered Boy Scouts, Venturers and Webelos.
What: A Jamboree style event for over 7000 participants, sponsored by 12 Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan councils.
When: September 25 - 27, 2009
Where: Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Grounds, in Oshkosh, WI.
Cost: Prior to May 31, 2009: $36. After June 1, 2009: $45

Bay Lakes Council High Adventure/Venturing Programs
For more experienced scouts (age 14 and over) that want memorable experiences. Venture Scout groups may also participate.
Wolf River Adventures
Opportunities for older scouts to have a high adventure experience during the week of summer camp. These are run out of the Bear Paw and Gardner Dam Scout Camps. Four different programs are available each week:
Door County Adventures
This exciting high adventure trek takes you to Jax Camp, a Bay-Lakes Council property near Sturgeon Bay, where you will base camp for a week of sea kayaking on the waters of Green Bay, as well as bike touring on the trails and byways of Door County.
Voyageur Canoe Adventures
The canoe routes take you to the beautiful and wild Flambeau River, one of the best paddling rivers in the Midwest.
Whitewater Adventures
This high adventure trek will put you in river kayaks on the Wolf and Red Rivers. Your crew will base camp at Gardner Dam and hit a different river each day with challenges for all abilities.
Northwoods Adventures
This fantastic high adventure program gives participants the opportunity to participate in COPE, rock climbing & rappelling, black powder rifle, lake kayaking, sailing, snorkeling and an overnight bike trek. You will camp for two nights at Gardner Dam Scout Camp and then travel to Bear Paw Scout Camp where you will camp for two nights at our hidden jewel of a campsite at Explorer Point.

Philmont Scout Ranch
New Mexico

Philmont Scout Ranch is the Boy Scouts of America's premier high-adventure base, with more than 200 square miles of rugged New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs. Bay Lakes Council will be sending 48 people in 2010. You can sign up if you are interested!
