Scout Pack 3738 of Beaver Dam would like to thank all of the Packs and their families of the Kettle Country District who attended the District Pinewood Derby on April 26th.  Everyone was very complimentary of the event and the hospitality Beaver Dam showed them.  The competition among the racers was so tough that the time difference between first and last place was only 0.4 seconds!!

Our event could not have been as successful without the help of a lot people.  I’d like to thank the following for providing invaluable support to our event:  Gilmore’s Piggly Wiggly, Pepsi Distributing of Beaver Dam, Frito Lay Distributing of Beaver Dam,  Kwik Trip Stores of Beaver Dam, Richelieu Foods,  and Wal-mart for all of the help they gave.

Special thanks goes to the Beaver Dam High School for providing the space and food service support, Mr. Dave Schoenberger, driver for the Taco Bell race team, for bringing his car to display, and the members of Cub Scout Pack 3724 of St. Katherine Drexel Parish for providing additional equipment.

The biggest thanks go to the parents of Cub Scout Pack 3738 for helping make the event happen.  Over 25 parents gave several hundred hours of total donated time to be sure that our kids, and those from other communities, had a great time racing.  Scouting brings out the best in everyone!!

Jim Yaroch,
Cubmaster, Pack 3738
